| The village Brenden, situated 9oo metres above sea-level,
between the lovely "Mettma" valley and the romantic, wild
rugged valley of the "Schwarza",
ranks
as a sun terrace of the southern Black Forest. The guest in Brenden
especially expects to see a wonderful distant view of the overwhelming
range of the Alps from the Bodensee to the Berner Oberland in the
spring, in the autumn and in the winter. In the winter Brenden presents
as a village for winter sports. Then a multitude of cross-country
skiing courses invite to sports activity. Besides there is a skilift
for rasant down hill races directly in the village. Every season the
small and lovely Brenden with its 381 inhabitants offers his guests
the promising silence and recreation on the plateau of the Brendener
